Why cant I take a partner zoo?

move 261, association at 5, game would not let me take a partner zoo although I had space for two and workers. why? I had to take a uni.

You should have been allowed to take a partner.

In the replay, is does have a partner button, and the association board is highlighted. So it seems a bit odd.

Just for the record, you have 3 partner zoos already, not 2. You couldn't take Asia again, so that zoo is disabled.

Not sure why you are showing this screenshot instead of the one after clicking on the card. Also, without seeing your board it's hard to tell.

I dont have a screenshot of the original situation. I have space for the zoo but it hilighted only the take 2 rep and take a uni.

In the replay on move 261, you can even click on the partner zoo button, and Europe and Australia are offered. I don't see any reason why you couldn't take one of them.

Are you sure about the move number, mturton? You also played association on 5 on move 156, but replay shows you were only offered to "take 2 rep and take a uni" as you described, and you took a university. The reason you were not offered a partner zoo (your third one) then is, your association card wasn't upgraded at that time.

I also had exactly the same issue as this, and just had the same thing with conservation today: there was no reason I couldn't take a conservation, I had assoc 5, spare worker, and two conservation options where I met the requirements, but the option was not available.

Without giving any screenshot or table/move number, it's impossible to check. A couple of valid reason could prevent you from taking the action :
- not enough workers (you need 2 if you took the action already, and you seem to only have 1)
- cant support projects because you misunderstood them
