Re: Disable the winner needing to "acknowledge" the result
Everyone needs to acknowledge the result. This should be removed.
Re: Disable the winner needing to "acknowledge" the result
The very end confirmation is planned to be removed next update.
Re: Disable the winner needing to "acknowledge" the result
Apparently it is not diabled in real time games yet? I am currently in an arena game, that I have already won, waiting for my opponent to acknowledge. If I kick him, the game result is probably 3 winners and a quitter, right?
Re: Disable the winner needing to "acknowledge" the result
I kicked him after waiting for over an hour and the results got neutralized

Based on the most recent update https://boardgamearena.com/group?id=12941948, it looks like this was only actually fixed for 2-player games. Not sure why that decision was made
Re: Disable the winner needing to "acknowledge" the result
The extra confirmation only existed for 2-player games, right? It was only the endgame state where there was an extra confirmation.Fletcheese wrote: ↑11 July 2023, 18:17 Based on the most recent update https://boardgamearena.com/group?id=12941948, it looks like this was only actually fixed for 2-player games. Let me know if I missed anything, e.g. with a bug report, but the one thing that MUST remain is both players being able to confirm the end of midgame matches before proceeding. This is a single click after each match, for a maximum of 7 clicks per game.
Otherwise, the entire match log would be gone when a player returns -- they can't inspect their own cards, check if there was a bug, see the opponent's cards, or note how the match played out.

Re: Disable the winner needing to "acknowledge" the result
I have played quite a few 4-player turn-based and real-time arena games and there is definitely a final match confirmation for both players to acknowledge the winner before the game can end. As a caveat, I don't think I've finished a game since this last update so it could have been changed, but I'm assuming from the release notes that it hasn'tGTSchemer wrote: ↑13 July 2023, 15:40The extra confirmation only existed for 2-player games, right? I want to make sure I understand. Are you talking about this use case:Fletcheese wrote: ↑13 July 2023, 15:56I have played quite a few 4-player turn-based and real-time arena games and there is definitely a final match confirmation for both players to acknowledge the winner before the game can end. * The final happens between 2 finalists in a turn-based game.
* One finalist has to make a choice. After that, the match autoplays and ends. The player who just triggered this clicks to end the match (this might be the point of confusion).
* The other player has to come back within their turn limit and click once to end the game.
If so, that is a single click that I would expect the other player to do, so at least it's minimal.
Now, let's consider the downside. If the other player cannot come back in time for a single click to end the game, they must have been gone for 24+ hours in a turn-based game, correct? And if they are gone for 24+ hours, the "View final situation" tab will almost certainly be gone from the game, meaning they cannot view the events of the final match without the unpleasant process of loading the replay, loading advanced controls, and fast-forwarding to the end.
