How to Access "Strategy Tips"

Post by JohnnyCyclops »

Hi all, I'm new to BGA. When I finish a game and before I close it I can view 'Strategy Tips' under the game 'table' area. But I can't seem to find the same Strategy Tips elsewhere on the site when I've NOT just finished a game. Does anyone know how to find the tips? These tips are very useful for a new player. TIA, JC.

Just click on any game replay or tutorial and you should get access to strategy tips tab.

I checked under replay but don't see the Strategy Tips in the menu bar underneath the game, just gives the game position and a long list of all the moves.

Under tutorial it just plays out the practice game, without giving the menu bar underneath the game area that would have included Strategy Tips.

Many thanks for replying.

This is probably the wiki page of the game.

You can access it during a game, clicking on the tab below the game.
Another way is from the game page. It should be on the "Rules summary" block.

So this works, and is an acceptable workaround, other than being in my own game (or after my game finishes) so I can read the tips.

Yes, and no. The Rule Summary is a direct copy of the Wiki page (and now I also know there are Wiki pages for games!). However the Strategy Tips, despite also saying they come from the Wiki, I then can't actually find on the Wiki. It's possibly there in the Wiki, and I just don't know where to look.

I'm grateful to you both for the replies.

You can go to the wiki directly: https://en.doc.boardgamearena.com/Help

And search for 'tips X' with X being the name of the game.

Changing the url directly https://en.doc.boardgamearena.com/Tips_bandido into something else work too but sometimes it's hard to know the url name of the game if it has more than one word.
And you can change 'en' into another langage.

You then need to click on 'edit wiki' or similar on the top of it to get to the wiki.
