How to get out of venom without money?

How do you get out of venom when you have no money?
I could not figure out how to get out of venom when I had no money. I had plenty of "X" left but could not find a way to make an acceptable move and got expelled.
What do you have to do in that situation?

In that situation you definitely could have played sponsors for money, then used that money to pay for venom.

I don't think he could have passed the card to 1 in this situation, though.

It was the animals card, but they had no money to play an animal. And they also had 5 x-tokens, so I don't think they'd be allowed to pass on the action since they couldn't receive the token.

Maybe I'm wrong, though, but I thought Tisaac said you couldn't play a card unless you could actually take the action.

Hi, I'm in a similar situation. No money, and a venom on my animal card.
I try to pass my 5 (construction) card to 1 to earn a X (I have only 1), but the game prevents me from doing so.

So I have to find a way to get some money. Hopefully I have means to get these 2 credits.

But what should happen if I don"t?
Mecenes is in 2 so I can get 2. Also I have an ability to sell one of my cards for 3. But I wish I would not have to do so

la_bretonne, venom must be paid. Unlike some other games in which you don’t have to pay if you don’t have it (Great Western Trail), in Ark Nova you must pay the venom effect, which can limit your choice of actions. So if you have no money and venom, you must play one of the envenomed cards to avoid the venom effect, or you must play sponsors for cash, or you can play a sponsors card that gives you cash, or you can use the commercial harbor effect. Sometimes building over a cash placement bonus can give you enough for the venom fee. Glossary page 3 for reference.

As already stated above, you can always pass the action card with venom on it to gain an xtoken. This remove the venom token.
And if you are at 5 xtokens already, just go getting money on sponsors, boosting it if necessary.
