Mobile Push Notifications Not Working

My mobile push notifications used to work, but stopped working awhile ago and I haven't been able to re-enable them. My desktop push notifications work fine.
I have checked that my phone is allowing notifications from chrome. When I go to the permissions for boardgamearena.com in chrome, it says that the notifications are blocked and managed by BGA. I have reset permissions from this menu multiple times. I have checked in the phone settings and notifications from chrome and from boardgamearena.com are allowed.
When I turn on push notifications in BGA it immediately tells me "We haven't been able to set up notifications! Did you confirm authorization when prompted by the browser?". Of course I got no such prompt.
Has anyone else experienced this issue and have any suggestions? Thanks in advance!

Notifications for me are "working" in the sense that they come through to my phone, but sometimes the game start notification arrives after the game has ended, so I'm considering disabling them.

This just starting happening for me in the last week. Mobile web push notifications were working fine, I actually never got desktop push notifications. Then about a week ago, they flipped. No more notifications on mobile but I get them on desktop. Its sort of useless on desktop when I am sitting looking at the BGA website.

Chrome had an update. The BGA app is just a seperate chrome instance running with a tweaked UI.

I got my notifications working again by going into my android settings and messing with notification settings for chrome.

It seems my BGA account is only recognizing my Firefox browser on my desktop, but not the mobile chrome app
