Penalities

Post by Baptbuck »

Hi,

Maybe someone has already talked about it but I think we should put a penalty on the person who proposes the solution and who is wrong. Indeed by doing this action, they do not help the other players, however they take advantage of the clues requested by the others.

Just a proposition ;-)

A+

Hum, i think messing up a guess is already detrimental enough. That missed guess does give information when you compare it to what that player has asked before. Even more important, it indicates that this person is about to end the game, prompting every other players to submit a guess as well, even if they aren’t sure, and any of these guesses can end the game before they get another shot.

That's a fun idea, sounds like the game "P.I." Maybe take away the next magnifying glass that they would get from someone else.

To add to it, making a guess to the solution discards the magnifying glass. That means fewer actions for the other players before it gets back to your turn.

However, I haven't seen that strategy, maybe you have. If you have seen it, was making wild guesses successful? They even mention the folly of wildly guessing at the end of the rulebook.

In this game, making an honest guess is revealing to the other players what cards you don't see. That would be a big hint for me. However, you can use a guess as a bluff to convince people that they have the card that you are guessing wrong.
