Red thumb should do something to karma

I just played a opponent who leave at last turn at ticket to ride..

so i give him a red thumb , but its seems to affect nothing to the player..

getting too much red thumbs should lead to suspension or something like that..

is red thumb do anything to player?

Yes, if they get enough of them, it does do a hit on their reputation. A single red thumb doesn't affect it, because that gives too much power to a single player who might be leaving a red thumb for less than fair reasons. But if several people all give the same person red thumbs, that probably indicates some issues with the player, which they are then penalised for.

The red thumb also means you won't meet that person again in casual competition (can't promise you won't meet them in tournaments though).

You have public and private red thumbs. Private just affect who you will not play with (except in turnaments), public ones in addition can affect reputation of a player if they receive too many (it's a ratio of red and green that is considered).
Suspensions can happen after moderation, which follows somebody having been reported or detected to do something against terms of contract.

In the case of somebody quitting a game, they lost the game, took a hit on their reputation, and may have less players to play with if the others players block them. (Plus may take another hit in reputation if their ratio of public red thumbs goes under a certain threshold.)
I know it can be really annoying to not be able to finish properly your game but maybe consider you did your part and move on. There are plenty of players to play TTR with.

i was just curious to know about red thumb.. i know its a thing happening and i did move on lol.. but i just wanted to get info about red thumb.

Sometimes players have internet issues. I've had some too some time ago.
So when a player takes way to long I switch to turn based mode.
Usually these players come back after 5 minutes or so and we continue the game like normal real speed game.
Sometimes they tell me about real issues and we continue in turn based.
Sometimes they just don't play or waste all of our time. When I turned to turn based it is too late for them to get a bad reputation like for quiting the game, which is what they really did. I would love to have the power to undo my well ment kind gesture and kick them from the game. Or just have the power to make it a real time game again.

I don't want to wait like 5min in normal mode, because if I get distracted or use the waiting time for something else and they continue and I am late because of that I might get karma punishment and I really don't want that.
