Does anything happen beyond you being kicked from the game in question? It doesn't sound like it's the same penalty as a red thumb, etc. I would assume you can't red thumb someone who is only spectating, as whenever I've tried to red thumb someone not from a game, it tells me I need to have played with them recently to do so. So if it is only being kicked from that game, I wouldn't worry about it. I wouldn't even notice a spectator unless they were chatting, and I assume many are similar.

If I’m not mistaken you can rt whoever you want. You can’t public red thumb someone you haven’t played with or chatted with I believe. You also can’t green thumb someone you haven’t played with recently either. I’ve tried giving people I knew green thumbs who I’ve played with several times and couldn’t because it wasn’t recent.

Sorry, yes, I meant a public red thumb. And you're right, I've tried the green thumb on people I know IRL, before I had actually played with them, and it wouldn't allow that either. But in any case, a private red thumb doesn't really affect your reputation, so the same would apply here - if they've blocked you with a private red thumb, it's not something to worry about.
