Posted on my wall then blocked

I recently expelled a player after waiting more than five minutes for them to take their turn (3 minutes past the timer). They had indicated they were having connection issues, but that was longer than I was willing to wait. They were offline when I expelled them; I had no idea when they would return.

At some point the player was able to re-connect to BGA and they posted something negative on my wall. Then they blocked me (red thumb, I presume). By doing that, I'm not able to comment on their post to explain myself.

I'm not sure how often opponents look at a player's wall, but now I have this negative comment that makes me look like a jerk.

Is there anything I can do?

You could report this behavior to the moderators, which could result in the post being deleted. I regularly block players I observe doing this. It is toxic to the BGA community, and I wish the process for reporting it weren't so complicated.

Here is how you can report it: Go to the player's profile, click "Report this player", click "Start" to get past the warning*, click "<user name> behaved inappropriately in chat", then click "Read more", then click "In a newsfeed or comment". Where it asks to "please enter the exact page the moderator can see the problem", put the URL of your own profile. The next page has a big field to put in your own comments. Keep it simple - you're reporting them for abusing the social features of this site to leave negative comments on your profile, you don't need to defend your decision to kick a player who went overtime. It is their responsibility to have a stable connection.

*this warning is intended to discourage making moderation reports in bad faith, which this is not. I honestly think this message should be removed or revised, because it's not going to discourage players who intend to make bad faith reports, and users have posted in this forum that they were scared or discouraged from making legitimate reports because of it.

Correct me if wrong: There was a time when one could simply DELETE any such post, from their profile.
Can't you see a delete option or something, on the right?
I assume not (otherwise you would have seen it by now), but I think I can swear something similar happened to me and I was able to delete it entirely.

Also, please report the player, as Paramesis suggested.
I find poisoning someone's profile, unacceptable.
I am not sure the player will be moderated, though, since no extremely offensive words were used.
But at least, the post could be deleted by a Moderator or something, if otherwise impossible.

Also, a while ago, comments were immune to Red Thumbs (so anyone could reply to any comment, despite being RTed by previous repliers).
While I understand why this thing might have been disabled again (I think some comments might have become overflown with insults, which made the Moderators' job harder), I think being able to comment regardless of RTs and being able to delete posts on your wall (posts made by other players) are 2 extremely reasonable options.

Especially the 2nd. one!
I mean... anyone could write funny stuff on your profile, without you being able to do anything.

I am the one that wrote the message. To clarify for others, I do not have her blocked. Not sure why she can't respond to it.
Before I was expelled, I started the game and then my phone started to act up. I mentioned it in the game.
When I knew it was not going to be fixed quick enough, I asked for us to turn it to turn based and several stated that we didn't need to turn it to turned based. I went one more round and then my phone reset itself completely due to an update that it was doing.
So, when I was offline and couldn't get back, instead of turning to turned based like I asked, I was expelled. I wasn't meaning the comment as negative necessarily. I posted there as I know some people don't get messages if they are not friends.

Off topic but not really...why do so many people expel others when there are clearly issues Instead of turning it to turn based and allowing the person to come back when they have fixed the issue? Seems like the turn based would be friendlier is all I can say.

As an answer to your question:
You should better play turn-based from the start, instead of playing real-time, then asking to go turn-based 'cause you have some unforeseen situation.
When players play real-time, some of them have other things to attend, in real life, after that real-time game.
Not fair to have to wait for you (or for anyone else), just 'cause you have some thing; and some of the ones who play real-time simply dislike playing turn-based - me included.
Everyone gets expelled once in a while, me included; it's really not that big of a deal.

The player said she couldn't comment to your post on her wall. This means you had her Red Thumbed as she tried to comment (RT=Block).
IMO, you should have either private messaged her (you don't have to be friends with someone, for that someone to get your message; you 2 just have to be mutually non-RTed) or... you could have simply Red Thumbed her and moved on.
Writing on someone's profile page and (according to her) Red Thumbing that person, is really not ok (even if your text was not that rude).

I see now that the post disappeared.
If you deleted it, I think it was the nicer thing to do.

I did delete it. It was more unforseen than just not caring which is why I was asked for the Turn based.
I am not sure why she couldn't post to it as she has me blocked but I do not have her blocked.
