Disconnected from the server

I keep getting a "Disconnected from the server error" during real time games - which has negatively impacted my ratings - because it quits my games of course... At first I thought I was losing wifi or cell service when it was happening but I've narrowed it down and it's not a connectivity issue as far as I can tell from my side. It does always take place around midnight Eastern time. Is there something I am missing? Any suggestions for me? I enjoy playing real time games... But I feel bad for people I'm playing against and it's super frustrating for me too.

I've been getting a lot of this lately too. I suppose there's a bottleneck at the BGA end. The service status on the home page says

12 333 online players
8 628 playing

so having adequate resources is clearly an issue but a site this big will be quite complex to maintain.

I'm getting a bit of this now, but more irritating is having to refresh after each move, which is happening right now on all my games (just says "Move submitted, waiting for update" or something, but if I refresh, the move clearly has been submitted, just the update didn't come through). Hasn't been a problem for me generally, so I assume something is going on with the servers at the moment.

For me, it's not around midnight. It is precisely at the stroke of midnight (Pacific time) every time I happen to be on then. I speculated that it has something to do with a session key/id being renewed, but I haven't researched it too deeply because it never lasts more than 5 to 10 seconds. So not enough to cause a major delay in a game or cause me to time out.

Is that 9 am main Europe time? That's when the server is refreshed every day and we all get brief "you're disconnected" notices.

i have had the same. then games vanish from my dashboard and i lost points and reputation. how can that be restored?

It might be for me, but the OP is UTC-5 and said it also happens for them at 00:00.

I'm currently experiencing this same issue for the 2nd time. Game won't update animations on its own and hangs on the waiting for server message. I can refresh manually to make it work, but that gets tedious.

Same, it's also back for me. It's actually blocking turns on one game, as that one doesn't seem to save the different states in my turn (I choose a thing, it shows me the moves, I choose a move). If I refresh after choosing a thing, I'm back to choosing a thing again, I can never progress to the choosing a move stage.

This is currently happening to me as well. Playing on an iPad if that matters.
