Team based games and deliberately losing

I've come across a number of players who deliberately lose team based games because they're not happy with how other players are playing (Mainly Hanabi).

My question would be is this inappropriate behaviour and should it be reported? The reasons when reporting don't explicitly give this as an example but would it be similar to deliberately quitting the game?

The long list of hanabi victims continues I thought about making a very similar topic this morning but considering how this site acted (locked) my last topic I figure there’s no use.

Tbh even if they were to implement a penalty for clear cheating some cheaters would just not make it so obvious. For instance instead of just bombing they could discard every turn. Or start playing saves. It would take them longer but they could still get away with it.

It is a shame that so many games are getting spoiled . I guess its also good to know others are experiencing it as well.
Lets say they are not so subtle about it, is it then inappropriate behaviour?

Under what category would you report it, as most categories suggest you red thumb them and hard luck otherwise.

But I’ve also read forum post from people working for bga stating it’s almost impossible to prove kingmaking so it’s kind of pointless to report. It gives you the option under public red thumb but if you click it it says no use to report this player just give them a private red thumb.

I also don’t get the point behind making users give 5 green thumbs in order to red thumb someone. If someone goes to the police station to report a crime the officers don’t say “sorry we can’t listen to your report until you list 5 good samaritans first.

This only applies to public red thumbs and it is to prevent abuse of doling out public red thumbs left and right because those can affect karma. You can give out 100s of private red thumbs if you want.

But you can’t file a report unless you state a reason. If you file multiple false reports you will be punished. So I find it odd that they claim they want you to file as many reports as necessary but then they put a stipulation that limits you from doing so. It seems very contradictory.

Moderators are not there to assess false reports all the time. If you have a history of making false reports, sure you will be limited. That might mean you are treated truely unfair at some point and you can't report, but that's just a consequence of you treating moderators unfair and wasting their time. It's part of the penalty.

Also, your last post has nothing to do with your previous post where you talked about red thumbs. When you jump between topics so quickly, it's hard to discuss with you and you may look disrespectful. Try to acknowledge when someone gives you a genuine answer and not jump right away to the next point.
