[Jaipur] Chameaux adverses visibles

Post by Chips »

Bonjour,

According to the English rules, on the last page, under Reminders and Notes
rules wrote:Players are not required to let their opponent know how many
camels they possess
This is how the game is designed. And, it does make remembering the opponent's past moves a bit more critical. But, knowing that the opponent has 5 cards to start, and one can always see how many goods cards they have, one can calculate how many camel cards they have at the start. One can then just keep track of how many they took and how many they used to exchange for goods, and therefore know how many camels they have. One can also know what goods an opponent has late in the game by keeping track of each sell, exchange, and take. This is, of course, a challenge mentally. This is also, of course, a factor in the difference between the great and not so great players.

Hi Jest,

thanks for replying. I checked the french rules as well and there is also a little reminder that says you don't have to show the other player how many camels you have, I had never paid attention to it (the fact that in a real game you can have an idea by seeing how big is the stack of camels of your opponent confused me).
The game is much more interesting like this, as you said, because you have to pay attention to both goods and camels of your opponent !
