Post by keith007 »

When someone plays the Rock Falls card can the other players still play card even if the path back to the entrance is broken?
I know you cant win this way.

Thanks for your time.

You need to have continuous path to the starting ladder in order to dig. If someone destroy a tunnel, it has to be repaired first (or you have to use different path)

I understand the confusion. I've read the rules over and over, and I cannot see anywhere where it actually says a new path must connect to the ladder. It just says when you add a new card to the maze, it must match on all sides to existing paths, and it must be played in the same orientation. We've always played as I_play_for_ELO describes, and that's how it's implemented here on BGA.

Took me awhile to find it, but in BGG Rules forum for Sab, I finally found a thread where they asked Z-Man games (http://boardgamegeek.com/article/836119#836119). The word from the developer is that we're doing it correctly: New path cards must be reachable from the ladder.
