Playing on iPad

Hi all,

Hope I'm posting in the right place. Posting here because I'm not really sure it's a bug, more looking for advice.

I'm somewhat new to BGA and love Ark Nova. I've been playing games from my PC. Recently, I tried to start a game from my iPad (or even join one I was already playing), but it gets stuck on the "Opening The Box" loading screen. I am able to load the game on my iPhone, so I suspect this is specific to the iPad and not the OS.

While my iPad is fully up to date, it is an older model (Original iPad Air).

So, my questions are a few:

- Am I doing something wrong from the iPad? Is there a setting or something that if I turn off might allow the game to load?
- If you play from a mobile device, what device do you use?
- I am looking to upgrade in the near future, but I'm debating if a Surface Pro might better fit my needs (one of which is playing more games through BGA).

Open to any/all thoughts or advice.

It should work just fine without any additional settings to change.
That being said, I have seen couple of very recent bug reports about bugs on tablets, so maybe there is something going on recently on bga and/or on some device new versions.

Thank you for the quick reply. I'm wondering if a Surface Pro might be a better direction, since it would simply be running on Windows.

I will say, I'm impressed with how well this plays on here.

I do use my iPad occasionally to play on BGA versus my iOS phone. I’ve not had any issues but I can try again later today and report back.

I did end up trying to play on my iPad: no issues to report. Not sure why there are issues on your end.
