Puzzle games

Post by Romain672 »

Hi
Not sure what I'm searching for exactly, but I really lik 'Turing Machine' and 'Reflection' and it look like they should be both in a category 'Puzzle games'.

Is there similar games on bga?

I think a good way to describe them is that you can with some settings easily think for more than 20 minutes per turn.

I was thinking of some games with a spatial puzzle element like Zefiria or Tranquility but you already know those.

Maybe Tiwanaku? It’s a bit similar to Turing Machine in the sense that you gather clues, until you have enough info to trigger a reveal phase. The longer you wait, the easier it is, but your opponents might pull the trigger before you.
It’s not as brain burnery as Turing Machine though

"Finity" might qualify as a puzzle game.

For me this would be games like It's A Wonderful World or Ark Nova

But from what you gave as example games I think you are talking about deduction games.
It looks like you already know a lot of them:

https://boardgamearena.com/gamepanel?game=breakthecode
https://boardgamearena.com/gamepanel?game=painttheroses
https://boardgamearena.com/gamepanel?game=thirteenclues
https://boardgamearena.com/gamepanel?game=hanabi
https://boardgamearena.com/gamepanel?game=yokai
https://boardgamearena.com/gamepanel?game=tobago

The only deduction game I know on BGA not mentioned so far is:

#zan_zendegi_azadi / #woman_life_freedom
#StandWithUkraine
