Solo game seems very difficult?

I have done 3-4 games in solo mode. All of them I'd end up loosing. I'm not sure why. I didn't remember the irl game being as difficult. -5 point is my highest rate for now. Can somebody give me some tips.

What difficultly level are you playing at?

Maximize conservation early and often. Most of the time you have to go for the cards university but if you can get a quick 2-point conservation (higher than that even better via release or similar) and an early extra worker it makes the game easier. There’s also no time to waste building by up for big appeal animals. If you can get them great if it will take 2-3 rounds of focus usually best to move on.
