You can globally set your preferred colors by clicking on your Avatar (upper-right corner in a browser), selecting "Preferences," then clicking on the "Appearance" tab (if it isn't displayed by default). This link may or may not work: https://boardgamearena.com/preferences?section=playing

Note that just because you have a preferred color 1) doesn't mean all games support that color, and 2) doesn't mean that it will be assigned to you, even if it is supported, because someone else may want it and there is an algorithm for deciding who wins in that situation.

Someone has pink color in catan. But the 4 default colors aren't pink. So, I've tried myself to put a color which isn't default and I can't choose that color. How come is that?

I have the color pink in Catan. You can set your color preferences in Profile -->About-->Update your information-->Appearance. I have a paid subscription, but I'm not sure if that has anything to do with choosing colors.

It does, you can only pick a preferred play colour with a subscription. It's a permium perk.
