Choosing Train Colors by Rank Preferred Train Colors

I often confuse which color train I am, as often the colour is not my choice and it keeps changing with each new game.

Other players and myself, have often thought "I am gold," then thinking one only needs three trains to do an extra mission, selects, then realize, "oh no! I am deep purple!" and I need TEN! and only have Nine!"
ZOINKS! now scurrying to complete other missions to compensate for the one blunder which cannot be completed.

If players could rank preferred train colors this may help many players not be so confused with multiply game times

And,

can the game have more train's option since the on-line version is not confined to set colors?

The train cars have the same colors as the steam/mobile app (request of Bga team and publisher)
Like almost every game, it supports player color preference, a premium option. It does not guarantee the color as another premium player may have requested the same color, but you have more chances of getting it (I set purple as my favorite color and got it at least 90% of the time)

I would definitely support the idea of having more train colors.

Not necessary as many as OP listed, but even a couple more could be really helpful. Black is an original color in the boardgame, and white and purple are existing colors in the Nordic edition. Using these colors should not be seen as blasphemy, please convince DoW to approve!

There shouldn't need to be ranked choice for colors, everyone should get their first choice; what I see and what my opponent(s) see for colors shouldn't have to be the same.

Note that a bug/suggestion is already opened about "Always use the preferred color" for all the games of the BGA site, not only for TTR.

And what if a player says "why red is always blocking me?" Who is he refering to, if everyone sees different colors ?

He will then no longer have to use the concept of color for his opponents but their nickname.

There will always be players that don't know each player can see a wagon in different colors, and will expect (and that's normal) that's it's the same as a physical game (1 player = 1 color). It will confuse some people for sure

You are right Thoun, but I have lost some games being confuse, playing to quickly, I was thinking I was playing with my "own" color and it was not the case.
