Premium price increased for those who have had long term subscriptions?

I recently checked my premium subscription and it shows the price has increased. I have a yearly subscription which was $24/year, but now it is showing $36. I remember a couple of years ago when they announced a price increase it was stated that if you previously had a subscription and maintained it, your price would not increase. Did I miss something or is this an error?

They did away with the grandfathered yearly sub prices.
