As i said, i probably haven't understood your point of view correctly. If you create tables with one move/day you will normally make a move every 2, 3 or 4th day, depending on how many people are at your table. At this pace i don't see why someone who takes slightly longer (2h more than the 24 h he was given by your table settings -- less than 10 %) does bother you as it seems to be the case.
I was just wondering if calling for faster players, by asking for 2 or more moves a day, won't help you to avoid you the situation you were describing : Losing a week of playtime on a table which you will destroy by kicking someone out.
To clarify: my issue is people who join turn based games that can't possibly meet the turn time. Generally with 24h turns when it happens it's somebody taking 30h+ to make their turn, but even if it is consistently 26h that is still frustrating because if they are incapable of taking a turn within 24h they should not have joined the table. Yes, they are technically within their time bank for now, but they will use it up and the game isn't going to be finished. I'd be just as annoyed by someone in a 2turns / day games consistently taking 14 hours to take every turn.
It's not an issue strictly with the amount of time they are taking, it's an issue with the table clearly showing how much time they'll have to take their turns, and them joining tables that they should have known they can't meet the time commitment for. Instead of joining tables that fit their capacity to play, they join ones that are too fast for them and expect the rest of the players to just deal with it.
Yes, they haven't used their time bank up in their first 2 or 3 turns so they are playing "within their turn time", but they are going to use up their time bank long before the game is over, causing them to be ejected and just wasting everyone's time.
No, i was thinking of playing life tables on BGA : You only play one game at a time (no mixing up, full concentration on what is happening) and you don't lose a week of playtime if you need to kick someone.
That sounds like a terrible idea, because guaranteed I'd still get a player that doesn't respect the time settings of the table and is slowly draining their time bank. Just now I wouldn't be able to have a different game going while I wait.
