Alert on "games in progress" page

Post by Shade »

While waiting for my opponents to play, I like being inside a game because I can hear the sound saying it's my turn. But if a different game is ready for me I get no such alert.

What I think is really missing is an alert sound ("it's your turn!", just like inside a game) to the GAMES IN PROGRESS page. That way I can just keep that open and hear a "trling!" when it's my turn in any of the games. This should, of course, be customizable, I imagine some people wouldn't want it.

The sound should probably play once -- when it's your turn in any game. NOT over and over as more opportunities accumulate.

Thanks for reading!

This is not directly related, and I have been looking for a thread or somewhere to post this feedback, but in Arena games, in particular Spades the waiting time for matches can be extremely long. Sometimes a sound is generated and you move directly to the game when a match starts. At other times I seem to get no sound, instead of being moved to the game I end up in a 'Go to Game' parking page and I have no indication that I am in a game until a loud sound announcing my defeat, and negative Karma points etc. It would be nice if once you get a time warning the game produced a loud sound and your game partners could produce a loud sound to get your attention. If you haven't made a single move or have to wait over 30 minutes for a table to be produced it is frustrating for everyone. When your games settings are on fast frantically clicking through menus trying to get into a game when Boardgame Arena doesn't move you into the game is stressful.
