Love this game but it is broken, needs something extra

If you see no deer all game you will lose every time, in 2 or 3 player. with there being really only one path to victory it breaks the game. Either deer need a huge nerf or other cards need a major buff, When I get me real copy I will never play under 4 players and may have to house rule something for 2-3 players . Game designer needs to fix something , like expansion, replacement cards, or this game will flash out and die. If its just a money grab on new hype they won't bother, longevity needs a fix.
