That's way too much work to create a table and on mobile that is impossible to do.

So this has nothing to do with me not liking the new interface, this is something that's not working!
Why not just use the old lobby?
I think the fear is that the old lobby will be deleted.
If people stop using them then they might do it. But if they see more traffic moving through the old page, they might finally stop developing the new one.

I dont think I ever read that the old lobby was going to get removed, but maybe i am misremembering.
For me, the two have very different targets/usages so it's not making much sense to compare them. If you are looking at a specific game, you just type the name in the omnibar then lands on the game page where you can read infos, watch tutorial, and start easily a table for that game.
Now, if instead you want to start tables for a couple games depending on which one is full the fastest, then sure i would use the play now lobby.

If they're meant to do different things then give people the option for which they use. At the moment if I get invited to a game or want to rematch with the same players i'm forced to launch it through the new lobby where I then struggle to adjust settings if anyone is at the table and can't open a chat etc. Give me a user setting to default to the old lobby like it used to and then I can work it like I always have.

I definitively agree with that suggestion.

Unfortunately, removing the old lobby does seem to be the plan.

From the official announcement by lordlx:
"I am also convinced that long-time players feel pretty comfortable with it, and will not remove it until they find everything they need on the game page.

Therefore, to be clear with you, the old lobby prevents us from bringing some new features. At some time, I expect it will be slowly removed."

I'm with the majority of the complainers about the new lobby. So much functionally is lost with the new lobby, almost everything takes extra clicks and/or is obscured. I keep trying to use the new lobby every once in a while, but it's always so frustrating. I don't think I've ever started a game with the new lobby, and when I'm forced to go there, I usually quit that game and go to the old lobby.

If the old lobby is ever removed, I'm not sure if it would be enough to make me fully quit BGA, but it would definitely reduce my playing time, and I'd almost certainly stop paying for premium.

It would probably make me quit. I don't come on to play one specific thing. I come on to see what games people want to play and join them, or else open three or four tables of different games and see which gets filled first. The old lobby just needs a few tweaks. It's low overhead on GPU, works and is intuitive enough even a dimwit like me could figure it out without too much difficulty. I can't say that for the new lobby where finding stuff is difficult to say the least. I feel they've put loads of time into visual bloat and borked the functionality in doing so.

Also, what new features? What do they possibly want to bring in? People just want to play the games. I'm not sure what new lobby features could enhance that.

New users tends to find old lobby not very intuitive if they want to play a specific game. I think that new lobby is a better experience for that specific case.
About the new feature, the new lobby makes some gameoptions more obvious where a vast majority (or maybe even something like 90%) of tables played with old lobby were just using default settings. So that might be an improvement they are looking for.

Is there a way to queue for multiple (real time) games at once using only the new lobby? If so, I can deal with learning how to find where to do things in the new lobby that I'm used to doing in the old.

The issue is not, as somewhat condescendingly suggested, simply that I'm not used to the new UI and just complaining about it because it's unfamiliar. In fact, I've answered questions in the forums with step-by-step instructions for how to do things in the new UI (which I learned simply to help answer the question, not because I personally use it).

The issue is that queuing for multiple games was either removed or obfuscated by the new UI. I would love to be proven wrong and if so I'll never post another complaint about the single-game lobby.

When I tried I was prevented from opening multiple tables with different options/variants in the same game to see which would fill first. It locks you into waiting at a single table. So if you want to open say a 2p and 3p table to see which gets filled first, you can't. Or at least I couldn't. There are other problems I've had but I need to go so I shan't list them all now.

Looks worse than the last version. I don't like it. Why do the games need to have a massive logo AND a small logo?
