Settings for new arena season

Hi all, how are the new arena settings for AN decided?

Is the guru system working for AN or is it just BGA deciding not to change anything? I was hoping for a change, e.g. a 3 player season...

(Or in the future, more asymmetrical game play with different maps, for the players like the game was originally originally designed. Either with rebalanced maps or some kind of auction system.)

You can't rebalance maps in a way that they have identical strength, since some maps work better towards certain strategies than others. That is why the same map rule is by far the most fair thing you can imagine for a competitive play, although I would love to see an auction in a 3p game. I wouldn't want to have rebalanced maps as I feel they already are pretty well balanced.
