Timing to take provision?

Post by nccc »

I know it depends, but normally would u draw that asap, or are there cards definitely better than provision?
Would be helpful to have some kind of card tier list :P

I obviously value it higher than a card I don't need, but generally worse than a card I need. It depends, of course, but yeah, imho a lot of cards are better than provision, especially when evaluating the situational value more than the stand-alone one. I think a tierlist in a game where value of the cards strongly depends on your previous picks and the board status would be more often misleading than useful

Sooner you take provisions, better it is
At the begginig when you dont have a strong fief to begin provisions may give you a game plan direction

This card is quite bad actually, at the very least totally overrated. BK is one of the rare game where drawing is not very good. Most of the time, (say 90%) you will have a better choice than randomly drawing a supplementary card (picking one card to get two random card is actually swap one you could have choosen to get just one extra).

Provisions is one of the best cards in the game. I would take it over a 2 city for sure, and it is pretty much lower than only lux resources and a 3 city

Funny how the assessment can be very different between players. I pick this card very rarely and i’m disappointed most of the time when I do. I only pick it when my hand is very poor and actually I’m happy when other player do pick it as it add ramness to their play. In my opinion, the 2 tower city is one of the strongest card of the game, there’s just no way i pick provision over it.
