How do I choose which resources to convert into advanced resources

Is there a way to choose which modules to use when converting into advanced resources. I tried it in a recent game where I has a 3 bug/ice and 3 bug/methane and needed to convert 3 bugs to pay for a protein advanced resources. Since I didn't have a protein module, I could only choose to automatically convert and pay resources, which took all 3 from one module, instead of letting me split it. Is there a way in game to choose how to divide the cost? Thanks for the implementation!
