Value of Points and Badges

Do the XP points and the about hundred different badges that I "earned" actually have any value?

I know ELO points have value, but the other things seem pretty meaningless. Or is there something that I don't know about (yet)?

ELO points determine the player level, and the player level determines - for most tables - which tables you can join. I would not call this philosophical, but practical.

Elo points dont always put you in the same level of player im 170 elo points and always give me players above 200 thats not always the case but the badges and elo dont give you anithing just the gifts when you play new games and win and just for g/months to premium boardgame

Sure, I guess the practical value of ELO is that you can join Arena at 100 and some people set restrictions on their tables / tournaments where you must be >= some ELO. Beyond that it's just for show.

XP/achievements are all for show just like they are in most other platforms/games
