If it's async I really hope that you are forced to make a move in your oldest game 1st like yucata...

Interesting point. Why?

Don't you think it could be great to play few moves "almost in live" with an opponent that is online at some time?

The reason why it exists on Yucata is to prevent people of abandoning games they're about to lose.

Good point.

However on BGA we already have a system to incite people to finish game, even if they lose. It has some flaws, but at now more than 98% of games go to a normal end and players that regularly do not finish a game tend to be excluded from the community.

Suggesting you to play the oldest game is probably good, but forcing you to do it, ...

Could there be some sort of punishment or consequence if a player doesn't show up for a long time? Or at least if it happens often? Some sort of temporary ban or being blocked for a particular game title. Or simply a new way (like the red thumbs) to indicate that this player abandoned a game?

More easy: If you don't play any move in a determined amount of time (one week seem a maximum) you are out of time. So the other player can eject you and give you bad thumbs. It work the same way that actual system :).

Actually we already can select another mode (Passer en mode tour par tour in french, don't know how it is translated) but it is a dead link. Pretty sad because I want to try how it work :).

Great work anyway. It is a really good idea that will improve the way we play on BGA.

You were obviously not supposed to see this link :)

Actually we implemented what Rouxxor just explained: if you go over your time limit, you get a red clock mark and may be expelled (=> red quit mark).
