Even if we disable it, there is no way to prevent the player to tke a paper and write it down ;)

It's easy to just keep it in head, no notes needed

In a turn based game played over 2 weeks, you keep that in your head too ?

That would change nothing.
People still have paper or notes on their phone or in some text file on their computer.
And you can also do a replay from...

I'm having enough trouble remembering which upgrade cards I picked, let alone what's been played!

I agree that the contents of the draw and discard piles should be visible. It’s very easy to track in the notes and having them visible would save a lot of bookkeeping. Deck inspection is available in other games, such as Great Western Trail. I see no downside to adding it here as well.

Then convince the publisher as they made the decision. Shouting here won't change anything.

I’m not shouting? Just sharing my opinion since I love Heat so much. That was literally my first bga forum post. I can continue to track the discard in the notes - gives me an advantage over others who don’t anyway. I do not know who makes the decisions about what is implemented on bga for each game, nor do I know what forums they monitor or read. All I know is that other games that have rules that prohibit deck inspection allow you to do so on bga, so i was surprised that it’s not implemented in Heat.

Yeah but it is essentially on a case by case basis as you need to convince the designer/publisher that it is a good idea or at least a good idea for turn-based mode.

Devs do what publishers say as they have to abide by the license rule of BGA:

Nothing missing from the IRL game here.

So, this discussion is fruitless unless someone brings this to the publisher and convinces them.
For example, the same dev was able to implement previous trick inspection option in The Crew even though general trick-taking rules forbid it, because the publisher allowed it as an option.
