Does BGA have a family membership?

Post by astrostl »

Heya, I'm a happy longtime supporter of BGA. My family is occasionally playing games as well. Is there an option out there for a discounted whole-family membership? Thanks!

I wish this existed too - or at least some kind of way to share membership within a household. That said, membership per person really isn't a huge amount, so it's quite reasonable to have to pay for multiple people in your family. The other point is that you need premium to start premium games, but you can join premium games (including with family) without needing premium yourself. I have premium, my partner does not, and I tend to start all the games we play anyway.

Yeah, my context is a family including kids, in the same home / IP address, all of whom almost exclusively play games with each other. I'm open to a larger contribution, but I'd rather not pay 4x the price for the slight convenience of kid-to-kid initiated games.

As the previous answer said, 1 premium is enough if they play together :)

But it you have say 4 kids and want any two of them to be able to play a premium game, you still need 3 subscriptions.

I thought the only restrictions for non-premium members was that they couldn't open a table. They can join ANY table, just not be the creator of the table. Am I wrong?

Correct, but if you have 4 people (A, B, C, D), and only A is premium, then B, C and D HAVE to play with A at the table, they can't play amongst themselves.

That's my understanding too. But the thing is, I'm currently the only one that plays games with anyone *other* than family members. They want to play games, but only against each other.
