let me ask a question

Post by hatayan0 »

When multiple people play at the same location, can they play on multiple devices if every person is a paid member?
I understand that you can use hot seat mode to play in the same location, but it takes a long time to play on one device.

Here's what the Premium page (https://boardgamearena.com/premium) says:
Play from the same place.
Play with someone using the same Internet connection as you, or even using the same device ('Hotseat' mode).
Only one player needs to be Premium to play from the same location as someone else.

If you use the question (or a short version of it) as the subject of the thread, people will be able to find it more easily when they browse the forum or use the search function : )

This doesn't completely clear things up for me and I wish they would update their documentation better. Here's the scenario:

I have a paid membership and I start a game. My wife and I are in the same house. We want to play a couple in a different household. Is it one paid membership per household/connection, or per game? In other words, for this scenario, do we need just my paid membership, or does one of the couple in the other household need a paid membership?

Thanks!

There is more information in the FAQ page

You only need one premium account to create a table. Then, any other player can join it with a normal account.

For the love of all that is good and pure, please follow this suggestion. You should be able to know what the substance of a post is about without even opening it, not just what it generically is about. Topic titles like "Question," "Help," "Bug," etc. do not serve this purpose.
