Waikirikiri vs Duncan TMS

https://boardgamearena.com/table?table=442788521

First round
Waikirikiri Allies 8 medals 31 figures Duncan TMS 5 medals 26 figures

Second round
Waikirikiri Axis 8 medals 34 figures Duncan TMS 6 medals 26 figures.

The second round was tied at 7-7 with both players simply discarding cards looking to build their hands.
Duncan TMS was camped on his left flank and Waikirikiri camped in the centre avoiding fire from Duncan TMS.
Eventually Waikirikiri drew the barrage card to clear the Allied unit from the fort and gain the final medal while denying Duncan TMS an objective medal.

Result
Waikirikiri 16 medals 65 figures vs Duncan TMS 11 medals 52 figures
Waikirikiri total victory, 4 points

Many thanks Duncan TMS for two great hard-fought battles that could have gone either way.

It is late, I will do a more complete report later (in a few days) as I need my sleep.

Thanks to Keegan for organising and managing the tournament.

The longer write up:

First battle: Waikirikiri Arllies Duncan TMS Axis

Initial moves were repositioning of units while strengthening hands of cards for both sides.
Light came quickly Levl 4 in first 2 Allied turns.

Initial combat was in the towns on the Allied left flank 1-1 medal count.

Fighting then shifted to the centre section.
Both sides made great attacking moves that weren't supported by their die rolls.
Battle continued in the centre section.
A well played ambush saved a 1 figure infantry unit in the Allied centre (flags are sometimes useful).
The "Direct From HQ" drawn to replace the Ambush card allowed Waikirikiri to take the final 2 medals needed for the 8-5 (31-26) win.

The return battle saw darkness remain longer so both sides used the darkness to reposition units.
Attacks started on the Allied left flank.
Attacks continued on the Allied left flank and into the centre section.

Darkness was very slow to lift.
The Allies got out to a 5-2 lead with successful attacks in the centre and left sections.
After a success reply from the Axis the medal count was 5-4 to the Allies.
The Allies then withdrew to the safety of their left flank and the Allies withdrew to the centre section.

Daylight finally arrived.
The Allies were sheltering on the left discarding cards while building their hand while the Axis was bringing reinforcements from their left to the centre.

After a period of sniping attacks the scores became tied at 6-6

A period of stalemate ensued with the Axis withdrawing out of range of the Allied artillery and both sides discarding cards looking for the winning card(s).

The Allies built up a great hand of cards but before they could use them the Axis played a Barrage to eliminate the Allied unit on the "Bank" gaining their final medal and removing an Allied medal.

Second round vicotry to the Axis score 8-6 medals 34-26 figures

TOTAL : Vcx1302 - Zivago : 3-1 Points / 14-12 Meds / 57-46 Figs

Merci à Frederik pour ce match mais aussi à la Team de la BEWOLF (dont Keegan au premier plan) et à Albanrey qui a créé le concept.

Quelqu'un pour créer/gérer la TRIWOLF ?

BGA table: https://boardgamearena.com/7/memoir?table=443670010#

riverwanderer Axis 8 medals 36 fig vs Vince_76 Allies 4 medals 23 fig
riverwanderer AIlies 8 medals 30 fig vs Vince_76 Axis 2 medals 15 fig

Total
riverwanderer 16 medals 66 fig vs Vince_76 6 medals 38 fig

Game 1
The Axis made an early dash to take the gold but the Allies stoutly defended and the weak Axis detachment was lucky to hold on as long as it did. On the other flank the Allies attacked in force and only the prompt arrival of the Axis panzers stopped a rout. Lucky Axis forces survived long enough for their centre to come to the rescue and win the day.

Game 2
Once again the gold was safe in the Allies hands. Daylight never came but the Axis was keen to get to hand to hand fighting. Unfortunately, the Allies were ready for them. Much needed support from the Axis left flank never arrived.

Thank you to Vince for the fun games.

This has been my first Bewolf. Fun games and a challenge of the new each month.
Thank you to the organiser and all competitors.

Winn81 vs EMI44

Final match with the Bewolf on the line to the winner. I needed 3 points (win the match) to secure victory, EMI needed 2 points.

Game 1: Winn81 (Axis): 8 med / 33 fig vs EMI44 (Allies): 6 med / 19 fig
I had a ton of center cards, including 4 attacks and drew an assault, so I pushed the action there. I feel like the end result could've been better, EMI did well to get as many medals as he did, but fairly happy to be up 8-5 (or 8-6??). We encountered a bug, the score was 8-5 but the game showed 8-6. See screenshot. Luckily it doesn't really affect the match result.

Game 2: Winn81 (Allies): 7 med / 33 fig vs EMI44 (Axis): 8 med / 37 fig
In the mid game his finest TWO hours were much better than mine (one normal, one counterattack) that ordered 10 units and left me crippled. It was a long drawn out battle after that. I played defensively, hiding in the town on the left flank and was able to eventually scrape together enough medals for the win, and even had a couple chances to win the game late with better dice.

Total: Winn81 vs EMI44 3-1 points / 1-1 games / 15-14 med / 66-56 fig

mrmanley31 vs Big Taz

Game 1:
mrmanley31(axis) 6 mdls, 27 figs vs Big Taz(allies) 8 mdls, 29 figs

Game 2:
mrmanley31(allies) 8 mdls, 28 figs vs Big Taz(axis) 3 mdls, 24 figs

Result: mrmanley31 vs Big Taz 1-1 games, 14-11 mdls, 55-53 figs, 3-1 points

Game 1 started out very well for me, killing the allied artillery on my first turn with a BEL. I was winning 6-5 when my dice went absolutely cold. Coupled with good play by Big Taz and he was able to complete the comeback.

Game 2 was a slow battle of attrition that never saw full daylight (unfortunately as I was sitting on a Barrage card from the beginning). Big Taz whittled my units down. I only had 2 full strength units at the end of the game, one infantry and the artillery.

Very well played by Big Taz, as always. Thanks, Kelian for the organization of the tournament. The Bewolf maps have always been some of my favorites. I hate to see the tournament go!
