Bonus Dice and Coffee

Is coffee no longer permitted to alter bonus dice earned from the Synchronization ability?

I’m pretty sure it used to work, but did not in a game I just played, causing a loss.

The traffic dice have the following face values: 2, 3, 3, 4, 4, 5 so you can't modify it to a 1 or 6.

Ah, okay. I never noticed the traffic die doesn’t have a 1 or 6. (I even have the physical game and I didn’t notice!) I don’t recall the specifics of my game, but I must have been trying to modify it to one of those two values. Thanks!
