Two of my friends have the same problem playing turn-based Ark Nova on desktop chrome/edge or Android app.

Issue didn't happen with Wi-Fi disabled on Android app.

Odd that that made the problem disappear.

That’s exactly what’s happening to me - look at my thread below using CTRL F5 to “force” a refresh. Very frustrating as said especially when playing Ark Nova, (don’t play Oasis)
