Expelled while making plays during turn

Post by Dave from Kentucky »

So, playing in BANG! Yes my clock was ticking so I was hurriedly making my game plays. While in the middle of making my plays I was expelled.
How can this be? BGA allows a expulsion I am currently playing my turn.
THAT'S why I'll be not advising anyone to go Permium.
Expulsion and loss of ELO and Reputation because of a low down skip while I'm actively playing
And the yesterday's forum
Total loss of ELO and Reputation for being expelled in an arena game that takes so long to start it is forgotten and not 1 card has been played in the first round
That's about as unfair as I've heard.
If the first play has not been made the game SHOULD be automatically canceled by BGA.
But they just want that $$ no reason to be fair

I am sorry this happened.

Out of curiosity, did anyone use the chat feature? For example did you say "I am still here, just a moment" or "I need more time"? Did any opponent use the "Are you still there?" chat message?

Was your clock negative? I don't know what in the "middle of making my plays" means. The system can't tell if you're about ready to click the next move.

What does "And the yesterday's forum" mean?

So let me see if I understand this: You signed up for a game, forgot you had signed up for it forcing the other players to wait your full turn time + time bank, and it's BGA's fault you got kicked?

Lets take this from the point of view of the other players at the table: The game has taken "so long to start" and now one of the players isn't even present to take their first move, and the 5 other players just have to sit their waiting out the timer. Even if the player starts making movies in the last couple seconds of their turn what reason do they have to believe this incredibly long delay won't happen again?
If the first play has not been made the game SHOULD be automatically canceled by BGA.
So after waiting "so long to start" if a player immediately abandons the game, forcing the rest of players to wait out their clock and then wait in the queue again to start a new game, the player who is wasting everyone else's time shouldn't have consequences for that?
Total loss of ELO and Reputation
Neither of these are permanent. You're most recent kick in BANG did not lose you any ELO, and even if it did you can get both ELO and reputation back by being present in the games you join and completing your turns within the timer.

I don't see how a player being removed from a game for not following the rules by taking their turn within the time frame set by the table is unfair, or a way for BGA to be greedy about money.

The only issue I have with what happened here is that the system should automatically boot players that run out of time, that way inconsiderate players can't blame the other people at the table for enforcing the rules.
