different ammount of time for players on a tournament

Post by Zoe Ripley »

Hi! Maybe someone knows.. A new game has just started in a tournament I participate: sechsnimmt • Lucky Winner 6 Nimmt and 4 players have 5 days to think and me and another player just 4 days. This is the first time I see a difference in time allowed for participants.. Doesn't seem fair to me. Can someone explain?

Hi, this is just because BGA rounds remaining time down to the next lowest day. Everyone in your tournament starts with 5 days, but the moment it is your turn, it will show that you have 4 days remaining. It is annoying.

I don't think it's this case. Even when it wasn't my turn it still showed the same. I checked when the game started, it started 20 something minuts before I saw this, and two people had 4 days and 4 people had 5 days. At the moment it's three and three and everyone has played but one person.

In the game you refer to: https://boardgamearena.com/6/sechsnimmt?table=448220923

All players start with 5 days. The 2 that have had turns show as 4 days as as soon as 1 second gets taken off their time, BGA rounds down from 5 days to 4 days. The person whose turn it currently is is showing 4 days. The 3 players who've not yet had a turn are showing 5 days. at the end of the game you'll be able to view the "thinking time remaining" chart and you'll see that you all started with the exact same amount of time.
