I was confused, since it worked with constriction recently iirc and hence expected to get two cards from opp (or the other options, but opp didn't have enough money to pay). I will add a screenshot when I am on my computer next time.
I am not following you. Why would getting a card from attraction track means the opponent is not having the quarantine lab ??

What they mean is they successfully pilfered them due to them being ahead on the appeal track. so they cant have quaran

Yes, what they say. Should have thought about my words a little more carefully. Opp and I had zero conservation points , but they had 6+attraction. The game did not let me choose opponent for the conservation pilfering, but I could click the button for them being ahead in attraction.

Ohhh right, makes more sense, thanks. Share the screenshot and we will help you figuring out if it's a real bug or not.

Re: Pilfering 2 with *zero* conservation points

Actualy if you check the rule nook, it says pilfering doesn't apply if the target is at zero, you need have at least one conservation point
randomronny974 wrote: 28 September 2023, 11:07 It is true, that in case of a tie, you can choose a player and you can never choose yourself. But I honestly thought, you could use pilfering and constriction also against all players that do not have cp yet, meaning: No player moved ahead in conservation, all are at zero, so they are all "ahead" in the track. But when I tried to exploit this recently with the japanese macaque, the game would not let me use the cp pilfering. Not sure, if that's a bug, I did not find anything in the rule book. You could also interpret the all at zero situation as nobody is ahead.

I have the German physical at home and I did not find anything on pilfering. It's a German author, so I believe it should be in there, but on the quick rules and the glossary there is nothing about "you can't use pilfering/constriction 2 on zero conservation points". But I just checked the English version and you are right there it is on pilfering in the glossary. It makes sense, but it's not in the German version. Weird thing, but this topic can be closed and it's obv not a bug then. Thx all!

Important note: CONSTRICTION WORKS ON ZERO CONSERVATION POINTS, PILFERING DOES NOT.

I am not sure if this thread is still active, but I just came to look for this as I don't think the pilfering timing is working quite right - my understanding is that I should be able to pilfer before applying the appeal of my animal but it wouldn't let me do this, at the time of playing I had zero appeal and my opponent had 1, at the time of playing the Barbary Macque my understanding is I should have been able to pilfer and then apply the appeal from the monkey but pilfer was grayed out. I believe this is an error.

You can't pilfer the player with less than 5 appeal

I tried to pilfer 2 two people yesterday. One persona had 2 conservation when I was at 0 and the other person had 1 more appeal than me. It only pilfered the person that had more appeal and ignored the person with conservation. From the wording I thought it would hit both. I assumed it was a bug and reported to be met with a lovely "read the FAQ"... Which doesn't help me at all understand if I'm misunderstanding the card (which seems to be written pretty straightforward). I've found nothing on the BGA FAQ and nothing to really answer the question in the forum.

Love when my intent is to help fix something that seems wrong and I'm met with vague passive aggression. Why can't they just be clear and say why there isn't a bug or if there is a bug?
