You have to choose the target bird to lay eggs on, so it's hard to just have it on by default. The game could add a feature where it's automatic by default if there is only one option of where to lay the egg, but asks the player to choose if there's more than one choice, but that's a bit more complex so it would require more thought and coding, not just a simple flip of a default setting. I think there could be improvements made in the ability to automate egg-laying pink powers, so if you have thought about the details you could post on the suggestions forum and then comment here with a link.

As for discoverability, I think that applies to other bird powers too - I think many players won't notice the ones that default to off can be changed, they may just think some bird powers are now automatic while others are not. If someone has a good idea for how to ensure more players find out that they can turn these on or off, that's worth posting a suggestion for also.

I'd guess that most players in turn-based games will notice the little gear-box on certain cards, and if they don't then their opponents will likely tell them about it in chat. I noticed it right away.

But if it does turn out to be a problem, that lots of players remain unaware of the ability to automate certain cards, surely the best solution is to have a dialogue box pop up whenever such a card is played, in a turn-based game.

I'm wondering about the undo/confirm situation at the end of a player's turn, after another player has used a pink power. For example, here are two screencaps from a game I'm currently playing: (1) https://snipboard.io/P4SGFc.jpg (2) https://snipboard.io/WFrUfG.jpg

It's the turn of Crunchi_sib, who gained two food tokens from the birdfeeder, then activated brown powers on her two birds, Red-Breasted Nuthatch and Barred Owl. When Barred Owl successfully hunted a bird with wingspan < 75 cm, my Black Vulture was triggered to gain one food token. I rerolled the dice (since there was just one die remaining in the birdfeeder) and took a token. But now the action line at top of screen says "Crunchi_sib may confirm or undo". That's what I'm asking about here. There doesn't seem to be anything for Crunchi_sib to undo, since the most recent event was me using my pink power. The game log entry says, "crunchi_sib moves action cube to the beginning of the Forest and ends their turn". Is this new (with the December updates), or has a player always needed to confirm in this type of situation? I would have thought it should just proceed to the next player's turn, unless there's something I'm overlooking.

Would you mind posting a bug report? This sounds like a bug that might have been introduced. I have an idea of what the issue is, but this would help me make sure.

As someone who mostly plays on a phone or tablet, I really appreciate this feature! Are there other games on BGA that have this sort of toggle? I haven’t run across any, and there are a plenty I think this would be helpful for.
