Advantage in delaying actions?

Take a look at this game: https://boardgamearena.com/table?table=456972143

There are 3 possibilities: 124/142/344

I checked B first, and the expert checked A first.

You can see I missed on my B check. However, since I saw expert check B after checking A, I was able to metagame. If they got zero 1s, then they wouldn't need to check B.

Of course, they could intentionally check B anyways just to throw me off, but this is a weird angle that doesn't seem intended.
