No first move (6/1-6/9) How to end?

Post by dragonwarlord98 »

I have a game of Hive (Table n°8837064), against Haziel, which started on 06/01 at 17:48. He has the first move, and hasn't done so. His clock continues to show 143h59 and I have sent him a private PM in his native tongue (Russian), and he hasn't responded or moved. Is there a way for you to remove this game from my list so I don't have to deal with this anymore? It has been over a week now, and it appears he isn't participating.

Thank you for your time and consideration.

I'm fairly new here (I see you are too) but no one has replied yet, so this is just from my limited experience. I had games where the 143h99m thing would continue to show, apparently on games where there's something all the players do at the same time. On mine, despite that I couldn't see the clock running down, it seemed to be anyway because the Expel Player button did finally show up. (I'm assuming you don't see that.)

I also was in a game where one person never went and the Expel Player never showed up, but we were able to abandon the game. I would never have tried this cause I figured I'd get punished if I hit that quit game thing in the upper right (by your name), but there's several options in there, including abandoning it where everyone has to vote to do it. If it's just you two, hopefully that will work if you do it.

That's nice to know about the quit button. I don't see anywhere on the site explaining about it. I have to admit the timer still has me confused. If you do not expel someone will the game automatically expel them at a certain point in time, or will they stay in the game but just passed for their turn? I play mostly turn based so maybe live it would be obvious what happens.
