Timeouts - multiple players

Post by evil_liquor_shot »

What happens with timeouts when there is more than one player over the timelimit.

eg if player 1 is 5 hours over limit, and player 2 is 3 days over limit.

If player 3 times out the game, does it depend upon whos turn it was (player 1 or 2) or does the timeout take into account the relative time over of the players?

If they time out player 1, the system knows player 2 has a worse over use and so makes them the loser overall?

Additional question, can player 2 timeout player 1 in this scenario, when there over time is greater?

If several players time out, the several players get a "notice" in the reputation tab, nothing more.
If you expel a player that has run out of time, you expel only that player, and the other players are "winners".

Thank you, yeah i meant kick/expel.

And your post answered it clear, so it depends which out of time player has the move at the time, as they will be the one kicked.

Is player 2 can time out player 1 ?
As I understand it a player that is over their time limit can not expel another player for being over their time limit.

However, if a player banks enough time at the start of their turn to go back into the green they can expel a player in the red as soon as their turn begins.
