Hey guys,
Which games have you found to be good for turn-based play? I understand a few that aren't good (Puerto Rico because everyone plays during each turn, 6 Nimmt because everyone bids a card every turn and there are typically 4-6 players), but which ones have worked well? I've found Senet to work well because it is only 2 players and each turn can have multiple moves, depending on what you throw. I'm guessing 3-player Coloretto would be good, maybe 4-player would be ok. Can't Stop may be good, and may it entice some players to push a little harder to "make the most" of their turn for the day.
What do you guys think of maybe adding a "Works well for turn-based " or "Doesn't work well for turn-based" tag on the game's start-up screen each game, kind of like the "We recommend ## players to best enjoy this game" tag?
Also, how about adding a "skip last turn replay for the entire game" option? In some games, like Senet, you really don't need to see the last turn, and I just keep clicking skip. It seems that the database look-up for the last turn takes a bit of time, hence the progress bar. It would make load times quicker and take a load off the server we could just skip the last play automatically, before it starts trying to look it put.
