Flexible settings when searching for a game

Hi,

On the game page when searching for a game (using the 'Start' button), is there a way to specify a flexible / range of settings? For example, instead of specifying '2 players' + 'fast speed', I'd like to specify '2-4 players' and 'any speed'. This would make it easier for me to find games.

On the game page, when setting up a table, to the right of many of the options a slider with two crossing arrows on it. If it's slid to the left (the background & arrows are grey), that option is fixed. If it's slid to the right (the background and arrows are turquoise), those options are flexible.

I haven't figured out how to limit the range of those options (and have ranted about that a bit elsewhere on the forums). On one occasion after setting up a table for a flexible move-a-day turn-based game, I was dropped into a 24-moves-a-day fast turn-based game (an arena game, IIRC). I was not pleased and have not used the flexible options on the game page since then.

If you're looking for an arena game from the "play now" (old lobby) page, each game time has a gear button that brings up a menu where you can set ranges for speed and playing hours and such. If there's a way to do that when setting up a manual simple game table I haven't found it. (Haven't used the automatic matches much.)

Oh wow I never noticed those toggles before, thanks for pointing them out. There seems to be none for number of players but it works for everything else. Thanks again!

This has been working well for me except I can't set a flexible number of players. Wondering if anyone knows how to do that?

You can do this by clicking on the gear icon associated with each game on the Play Now page. The first setting is "Number of players." This is assuming you have it set to automatic matching. Obviously if you manually set up a game, you can choose the maximum number of players you want to play with and then just start the game when a number of players you're ok playing with join the table.
