Why are Random People Allowed into a Locked Game?

My group has an issue where we will create a Game and Lock it to just our group. We then post a link to the table on an internal slack channel to see who wants to join. Often times I will get random people joining the table before it is filled up with the friends that are in my group.

Am I missing a setting? Why is a Locked Table that is Restricted to a single group allowing random people to join? Any advice is appreciated.

This should work.
Are you sure you restricted the table to your group ?
This setting is per game and per table creator, so each time a player creates a table for a new game, they will have to set the restriction again.

Yep, every table I go in and restrict the group to just friends or my game group. I also check the other settings as we go Turned Based and usually have a few different games going on at the same time. Once I have those settings then I generate the table wand copy the link to send to my gaming slack channel.

I have had this happen on multiple games (7 Wonders Architects, Viticulture, Tapestry, and Ark Nova to name a few). Sometimes no random people join, but this happens pretty regularly.

Are you sure there are no random people in your group?
Maybe you set the group as a "public" group.

Nope, just checked and the group is private. Must be invited.

Also, not all of my games do this. I have a Blood Rage game that I created that is still waiting for 1-2 players to join before it starts. I don't know what the trigger is that opens these games to other players. This has happened to other people in my group as well.

This is a bug we have become aware of and are working to fix.

As a temporary work around: once you have grabbed the link or invited your first friend, you need to go back into the table restrictions and reset them. After this they will remain in place. Very sorry for the inconvenience!
