There's been a lot of chat about this, and someone has already filed a bug report. The Arena place rank displayed in the Play Now Arena lobby is wrong. SFAIK it is now showing ELO rank not Arena rank which is completely wrong and somewhat pointless IMO. ELO=experience. Arena rank=competitive ranking. You can have a high arena rank and awful ELO and vice versa.
I don't understand why BGA suddenly start confusing the two. Stop messing around with things that aren't broken please and put them back how they used to be.
