Happened to me a few days ago. I entered the queue for a turn-based game, a green bar and "searching for 1 player" was displayed. After some hours (it sometimes takes a while to find a table with my settings) I refreshed the page and then the green bar was gone and the message was "searching for 0 player". After some more hours I canceled the queue and re-entered. This time I did not refresh the page and it worked, I joined a table after a while.
So maybe the problem is linked to refreshing the lobby page while you are in a queue?
