How does the pairing algorithm work for fast turn based games?

Post by gmrsmrt »

If I queue for a game either in arena or in simple game with automatic search and I allow fast turn based games, how does the pairing
algorithm work? The inactive time is somewhat restricted to my sleeping time or it is simply settled by the owner of the table and I risk being added to tables with active time whit a large overlap with my sleeping time?

For searches in the old lobby (from the Play Now link, rather than individual game pages), there is an option in the settings for each game (accessible by the cog beside each tile) where you can define the hours you're happy to play with (including 4 levels of preference).

For the new lobby (game pages)... ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ No idea. I believe if you say you're open to flexible settings on playing hours, you could get anything, but I don't use them myself so I could be wrong.

Thank you very much!!
I didn't notice that I could set my time preference in the search engine. I thought it was possible only if I was opening the tabel.
