Why "fix" it if it ain't broken?

Because Progress! Let us race forward making things better (while the penultimate update killed off playing the next turn of a game before having to refresh the page) Let us add more choice! (Apart from to revert) Let us add a greater UI (While continuing white space everywhere)

Every iteration has lost some of its charm - and increased the friction between the player and the game. And we can just label any naysayers as dinosaurs. - le sigh -

What is often missed with the "people always complain about change" argument is that SOMETIMES, the change actually hurts various users in concrete ways, for a more negative experience.

Overall, I liked the new game list during testing. Yet I am allowed to like the change, but also point out a couple specific aspects which are definitely not great, and may require minimal work to improve.

i understand that some people wanted an changed view for their games list. However, why is the old text only view not still an option? it should simply be: Large, Medium, Small, Text List

Also, what happened to the option to sort the list by start date?

As of right now, the new layout is there when I click the upper right, and it is completely broken on mobile!

I can't see the name of my opponents. They're cut off.

Please revert this. This is not usable.

So if I happen not to like the new display in any way (to put it mildly) how can I revert asap to the old display?

It would be nice for those of us that have no interest in arena and/or tournament tables to be able to hide/not see those sections.

I will admit that this is a first impression and my opinion may change, but please please please give us the option to go back to the old layout. This new layout is just very messy. I feel like my browser is trying to overwhelm my eyes with information. The old layout was very clean and showed me everything I needed to know. I don't understand what was wrong with it. Change for the sake of change is not usually a good idea. Nothing was wrong before... What are you trying to fix with these changes?

This was a major complaint I had during the lab testing period, and it was provided to the designer.

I can probably use custom CSS to hide the arena section, but I see no reason why we can't simply move it to the bottom for those of us who ONLY play normal and tournament games, and never want to see the arena section.

I also agree the new layout is very busy, in the same way that the game page is now very busy.

These changes to make interfaces more visually noisy harms accessibility to users with visual processing issues, in my opinion. I am a strong advocate of accessibility since I suffer from this type of thing myself.
