Why BGA is not focusing on Solo/Scenario Games?

Post by dodoberry »

It would be nice to have some solo games with scenario like Legacy of Yu or Arkham horror in the portfolio.

Largely speaking, BGA doesn't make the game implementations anymore. Take a look at the News tab and notice how they credit the game's developers in each instance. So it's not a matter of BGA themselves not focusing, but the individual publishers or developers.

Speaking as one of those developers, I don't think your assessment is even accurate. My most recent seven releases are Maracaibo (just this week! give it a try!!), Envelopes of Cash, Great Split, Daybreak, Spots, Streets, and Astra. Of those all have solo modes except Great Split. (Great Split is an I-split-you-choose game where solo mode wouldn't make any sense.)

The game I'm currently developing also has a solo mode.

So... there are lots of solo games available, even if it's not the two you're specifically looking for.

I love Spots! Thanks for the list of these solos - time to check them out!

If you go to the games page and click solo - over 100 games will pop up!
