I can't see your image here but I can see an image in your bug report that sounds similar to what you're describing, though the table IDs can't be seen in that screenshot (I'm not sure how you're determining they are the same ID). That said, if two tables are the same ID, then I suspect there's something off with the seeding of table numbers - is in, a table number isn't being allocated at creation time, allowing it to be picked up by the next created table. But if so, that's a BGA bug so would need someone on the tech side to fix it.

I've never experienced this myself, but if I create games for friends, I am inviting specific friends (who always join, so we're never left with empty seats) rather than opening a table to a group. Still, your process sounds correct, and it does feel like you've just found a bug. I'd suggest trying to use the Play Now (old lobby) for creating games rather than the game pages, and see if that's any more reliable?

It's the same image in both.

I'm presuming it's the same game ID because the URL lists the game ID -- and when you go to that URL that's what you see.

I actually set up games using both methods (but, unless I'm mistaken, there's no way to use the old Play Now to select a game that's not listed there -- once you search for the game, it immediately dumps you in the the same place).

For now, I'm just setting up tournaments :/ - for whatever reason *that* does restrict it correctly.

If you mean on the game page, I'm not sure which table's ID that tells you if you have two on the game page as you do there. If you mean the actual table page on the other hand, then yes, I'd agree with you.

You can add games to your favourites and then they will show up on the Play Now page (under your favourites, separate to/above the other games I think you're talking about).

I mean - like this:

https://boardgamearena.com/table?table=483982743

Every table has a unique ID - which is in the URL.

When you see the URL for the picture I took - that's what it looks like -- so, in the system, that table ID is for *both* games (hence why people not in the restricted group can sign up)

It's absolutely a bug/broken.

But, there's been no movement as of yet from the dev team. So, for now, I just run tournaments for my group :/

Yes, that's the table page, and if game creation is working as it should (should in a programming sense, not in any way that I have any actual say in it - I don't work for BGA), duplicates shouldn't be happening. Once an ID is allocated, it shouldn't be able to be allocated again. So yes, it's a bug, but beyond raising it, I'm not sure what else there is to do.

I would suspect this is a bug in creating games on the game page and probably not an issue with the Play Now page, so I'd suggest using that as I mentioned.

It happened when I set up games from my Play Now Page (games I already have on that page) *and* the game page -- so it's not unique to the way it's created.
